On the morning of November 19, 2022, the first academic expert committee meeting of PPM INSTITUTE was grandly held in Conference Room 813 of the office building of Poly Plastic Masterbatch (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. The first academic expert committee meeting was held in the first and second half. The first half was the opening ceremony and expert appointment ceremony, and the second half was the first meeting of the academic expert committee.

The first half of the opening ceremony and the expert appointment ceremony began with a cheerful welcome song. Professor Ji Shunjun, President of PPM INSTITUTE, presided over the meeting. Chen Xinwei, President of China Chemical Fiber Association, sent a passionate video speech specifically for the first academic expert committee meeting. Ms. Wang Meijia of PPM INSTITUTE used PPT to report to the experts present on the basic situation of PPM INSTITUTE since its establishment. Afterwards, Mr. Yang Junhui, Vice President of the Institute, read out the appointment decision on the appointment of 13 experts as members of the PPM INSTITUTE Academic Expert Committee. Mr. Xu Yiming, Chairman of PPM, issued letters of appointment to the experts present at the meeting to the cheerful music of step by step, and then Mr. Xu Yiming, Chairman, made an important speech.

Chairman Xu Yiming warmly welcomed the arrival of all the experts and introduced the background and original intention of establishing the institute at the beginning of this year. Chairman Xu Yiming said, "The establishment of the Academic Expert Committee of PPM INSTITUTE is not only a major event for the institute, but also a major event in the development process of our company. It is an important manifestation of the company's implementation of the national "innovation-driven" development strategy and the promotion of high-quality economic development; it is a driving force for breaking the company's development bottleneck and promoting high-quality development; it is also an inherent requirement for optimizing the internal structure of the institute, building a high-level research team and an innovative institute." Chairman Xu Yiming hopes that all experts will make suggestions on the construction and development of PPM INSTITUTE, set the direction, draw a blueprint, and guide the construction of the institute to a higher level.

The second half was the first meeting of the Academic Expert Committee, chaired by Professor Wang Huaping, Director of the Academic Expert Committee of the Institute. The meeting began with a report by Dean Ji Shunjun of the Institute on the establishment of PPM INSTITUTE and the implementation of open topics in 2022. The experts of the Academic Committee listened carefully to the work report of the Institute and had a full and detailed discussion on the main research and development topics, contents and research directions of PPM INSTITUTE in 2023 for the next three years. They also put forward their own suggestions and ideas on the basic construction, talent introduction, scientific research projects, and award applications of the Institute. Finally, Director Wang Huaping summarized the opinions of the experts and made a wonderful summary of the positioning of the Institute, strengthening the development of supporting core technologies, what to do and what not to do in product research and development, the role of the expert group as a think tank, and the operation of the Institute. After the meeting, the members of the expert group took group photos with Mr. Xu Yiming, Chairman of PPM, Mr. Ji Shunjun, Dean, and Mr. Yang Junhui, Vice Dean, in the lobby on the first floor, and visited the PPM exhibition hall and the experimental and office space of the Institute. The first meeting of the Academic Expert Committee was a complete success.

On the same afternoon, PPM INSTITUTE also invited Major General Shi Meiwu, former director of the Materials and Efficacy Research Laboratory of the Military Equipment Research Institute of the General Logistics Department, Associate Researcher Ji Peng, Master's Supervisor of the Textile Science and Technology Innovation Center of Donghua University, and Dr. Fu Shaohai, Professor of the School of Textiles and Clothing of Jiangnan University, to give three academic reports. The reports aroused great response from experts and colleagues present, and the atmosphere of on-site interactive communication was very warm.

PPM executives, leaders of various departments of the company, and all employees of the institute attended relevant meetings and activities together.
