PPM INSTITUTE OF FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS (hereinafter referred to as the Research Institute) is an enterprise research institution directly under the leadership of the Board of Directors of Poly Plastic Masterbatch (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Its functional positioning is to develop the depth and breadth of the company's existing products, focus on applied research, and focus on product innovation research that is urgently needed by the company and has forward-looking application value, and create an advanced enterprise research institute that organically combines theoretical innovation with technological innovation. The PPM Research Institute will adhere to the strategy of "talents strengthen the enterprise" and "innovation strengthens the institute", adhere to applied research as the main focus, and at the same time continuously strengthen basic research, focusing on the leading role of basic research in application development and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

The PPM INSTITUTE will focus on the company's positioning requirements of building a national-level specialized, refined, special, and new small giant enterprise, build a global environmentally friendly fiber functional masterbatch engineering research center, strive to make breakthroughs in environmental protection and function, continue to lead the polyester fiber masterbatch industry and plan ahead for long-term development; the PPM Research Institute will focus on the positioning requirements of a national postdoctoral research workstation and continue to attract masters and doctors to work in the station.

After five to ten years of construction, PPM INSTITUTE will have a well-structured and innovative R&D team consisting of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, full-time and part-time R&D personnel, an advanced and efficient management system and a reasonable and complete mechanism for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and strive to enter the ranks of well-known advanced corporate research institutes in China.
