Expert profile:

Wang Yuping, Director of the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, professor-level senior engineer. She was formerly the Vice President of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association and the Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Development Department of the China Textile and Apparel Federation. She has long been engaged in textile chemical fiber economic innovation, industry development research and consulting, and the formulation of industrial policies, as well as textile intelligent manufacturing, military-civilian integration, intellectual property rights, innovation system construction, and the promotion of high-tech fiber industrialization development strategies. She participated in the preparation of the "12th Five-Year Development Plan for China's Chemical Fiber Industry", "Guiding Opinions on the 13th Five-Year Development Plan for China's Chemical Fiber Industry", "Special Plan for New Fiber Materials", "30-Year Roadmap for Bio-based Fibers and Biochemical Raw Materials", "Implementation Plan for Major Bio-based Projects", and "Made in China 2025" key areas technology roadmap new materials chapter (expert group member) of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Leading major projects such as "Xiaoshan District Chemical Fiber Manufacturing Industry Planning Project", "Second National Pollution Source Census Industrial Pollution Source Production and Emission Accounting Chemical Fiber Manufacturing Industry Production and Emission Accounting Project"; participating in the development and research and achievement promotion of a number of major chemical fiber complete sets of equipment, participating in the special review of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Development and Reform Commission (technical transformation, core competitiveness projects), and the review of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and Invention Award of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
