Zhang Qinghong is a member of the Professor Committee of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Donghua University, a professor and doctoral supervisor. She mainly studies thin-film solar cells, wearable electronic materials and devices, and the application of functional nanocrystals in chemical fibers. She has presided over and completed more than 10 basic research projects such as the National Support Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has carried out industry-university-research cooperation with many well-known companies, including the development of PA6 to titanium dioxide, color oil PET injection addition technology, cationic dyeable polyester, and antibacterial polyester. Titanium dioxide coating has achieved industrial application in Hengyi Petrochemical, with an annual output value of more than 3,000 tons/year. The relevant achievements have won the second prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Award (Invention Award) and the first prize of Science and Technology Progress of China Textile Industry Federation. He has published more than 300 SCI papers in journals such as Science, Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Nature Communications. He has been cited more than 18,000 times and has an H-index of 62. He has been selected as a "Chinese Highly Cited Scholar" in the fields of chemical engineering, materials science and engineering by Elsevier for six consecutive years, and has obtained more than 50 Chinese invention patents. In 2021 and 2022, he was selected as one of the top 2% scientists in the world (lifetime scientific influence list).
