On the afternoon of June 15, 2022, PPM INSTITUTE OF FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS invited Song Yun, a postdoctoral fellow at Shanghai University, to hold a knowledge lecture on the research progress of degradable materials and smart fabrics at home and abroad for all researchers of the institute and some technical personnel of the company in the 805 conference room of the company's office building. Dean Ji Shunjun, Vice Dean Yang Junhui and Researcher Ding Kegong also attended the lecture.

The lecture officially started at 13:30 in the afternoon. Teacher Song Yun expounded on this scientific research from three aspects: the development trend of masterbatches for functional chemical fiber textiles and expanded and shared the scientific problem extraction of the textile discipline; taking L-lactic acid (PLLA), polyester (PET) and biodegradable materials as examples, he introduced the application of textile fibers in the fields of biomedicine and environmental protection; as a traditional wearable device, the advantages and development trends of textiles in wearable flexible electronics.

Under the great explanation of Teacher Song, the researchers learned about the knowledge of cutting-edge technology of textiles, broadened our horizons, and at the same time, made us realize that there are still many cutting-edge problems to be solved in research, and the prospects of the masterbatch industry are unlimited.
