Poly Plastic Masterbatch (Suzhou) Co., Ltd is located in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, a famous historical and cultural city. PPM started its journey for nearly 30 years. In 2017, the company was awarded the title of "National Chemical Fiber Industry Application Innovation Enterprise" and "National Fiber Functional Masterbatch R&D Base". It is a provincial engineering technology research center recognized by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and a national "little giant" enterprise with specialization, precision, uniqueness and innovation. The company was successfully listed on November 5, 2020. In 2021, it has obtained a provincial enterprise postdoctoral workstation.

In January 2022, Poly Plastic Masterbatch (Suzhou) Co., Ltd officially established PPM INSTITUTE OF FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS (hereinafter referred to as the Research Institute). The research institute adheres to the concept of "talents strengthen enterprises and innovation strengthens institutes", implements the research institute layout of "one institute, two committees, four centers and one platform", focuses on applied research, and focuses on the innovative research of forward-looking applications urgently needed by the company, creating the positioning of an advanced enterprise research institute that organically integrates theoretical innovation and technological innovation.

The institute has established three research platforms: industry-university-research cooperation with Donghua University, a joint laboratory with Soochow University, and a "Joint R&D Laboratory for Functional Fiber Masterbatch" with the Institute of Organic Functional Materials of the Yangtze River Delta Advanced Materials Research Institute. In order to enhance the company's scientific and technological innovation capabilities and promote the optimization and upgrading of the company's scientific and technological development and industrial structure, a prestigious external expert and scholar was specially established as the director of the expert committee to accelerate the selection, demonstration and R&D guidance of major scientific research projects of the institute and improve the research and development theory and scientific research level of researchers.

Since 2022, we have set up ten open development projects for external cooperation. Based on the concept of "combining long-term and short-term" research content and "standing tall and standing tall" in research results, this year we will continue to bid for projects nationwide (ten, with an average support of 200,000 yuan/project), and submit project applications if all experts accept the "Regulations on the Management of Open Research Topics of PPM Research Institute". 6. Research and development of polyester adhesive fibers for permeable membrane substrates

7. Research and development of slurry for Lyocll flame-retardant functional fibers

8. Research and development of highly conductive functional fibers

9. Development of flame retardants for PET fibers, PA fibers, PLA fibers, etc.

10. Control of oligomers in BOPET materials

11. Research on plasma-treated functional powder materials

12. Research on the application of supercritical technology in the development of functional fibers

13. Research on the uniform distribution of special nano-scale functional materials (flame retardant, antibacterial, light-changing, thermal response, etc.) in PET (PA, etc.) fibers and films

14. Research and development of masterbatch for ultra-black PET and PA fibers

15. Research and development of digital printing ink and toner
