At 12:50 pm on August 1, 2023, the 2022 PPM INSTITUTE open topic mid-term assessment report meeting was held in the 813 conference room of the office building of Poly Plastic Masterbatch (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Keqin, Dean of the School of Textile and Clothing Engineering of Soochow University. Professor and doctoral supervisor Wang Huaping of Donghua University, Associate Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor Ji Peng of the Textile Science and Technology Innovation Center of Donghua University, Chairman Xu Yiming of Poly Plastic Masterbatch (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Professor Ji Shunjun, Dean of PPM INSTITUTE, Executive Vice Dean Yang Junhui, PPM Financial Director Yuan Xiaofeng, Deputy General Manager Tian Xuefeng, and Jiang Zhiyong attended the mid-term assessment report meeting as members of the review expert group.

The meeting began with a welcome speech by Ji Shunjun, Dean of PPM INSTITUTE. Then, under the chairmanship of Dean Zhang Keqin, the ten open topic leaders gave mid-term reports on the topics in order, with each topic reporting for 20 minutes and discussing for 10 minutes. The meeting was well-organized, and everyone actively asked questions during the discussion. The expert group also commented on the report of each topic and put forward feasible suggestions. Finally, PPM Chairman Xu Yiming made a summary speech. Chairman Xu expressed his overall satisfaction with the open topics in 2022. He hoped that PPM could better serve the local economy, promote in-depth cooperation among "government, industry, academia, and research", fully integrate the advantages of colleges and universities in basic research and technology development and the conditions of enterprises in production, operation and industrialization, accelerate the pace of transforming scientific research results into productivity, improve the level of industrial scientific and technological innovation, and carry out close and long-term cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, win-win and complementary advantages. The mid-term assessment report meeting of the first batch of ten open topics funded by PPM in 2022 was a complete success!
